Dolphins To Star On Hard Knocks

After a drawn-out offseason process, HBO has decided to showcase the Miami Dolphins on this summer's version of the hit reality TV series "Hard Knocks."

Ehh, it's better than the Jaguars, but not the most exciting thing in the world. I guess it will be cool to see Tannehill compete with Matt Moore and David Garrard for the Dolphins' starting job, and I am sure Reggie Bush should be pretty entertaining, but other than that I am not all the pumped.

I guess in the end the show is always good, just don't expect it to be anything close to as good as the Jets one was.

Jets Are Off Hard Knocks Again

Despite a report this week that the New York Jets were still under consideration to be the team featured on HBO's "Hard Knocks" -- and the great value for the network in having Tim Tebow on its show for four weeks -- it's going to be another team. The Jets are out of the running, according to what television industry sources have told Bob Raissman of the New York Daily News.

I would have really loved for them to have been on Hard Knocks, I would have loved to see the dysfunction of that whole franchise and the whole Tim Tebow thing. I really believe the Jets aren't doing this to shy away from the spotlight, but to not have Tim Tebow be exposed in practice, and show how bad he actually is. Remember in Denver he wasn't a "practice player" whatever the fuck that means. The Jets would have a gold mine with the players they have on the roster, the uncomfortableness of Tebow/ Sanchez, Rex Ryan, Revis hating Bill Belichick and more contract shit, Antonio Cromarti, etc.

HBO Offers Atlanta Falcons "Hard Knocks"

Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that the Falcons "have been offered the starring role in this season's version" of the behind-the-scenes NFL show. I am kind of surprised with this choice. Not an overly interesting team. I mean I guess Roddy White could be pretty funny, Julio Jones will be fun to watch, nothing wrong with Matt Ryan, but there is nothing that really jumps out at you.

There are a bunch of other teams that would've been more interesting (I am not excluding teams that would never do that...

Eagles
Packers
Bears
Patriots
Giants
Saints
Jets

That's just off the top of my head. I know everyone was hoping for the Jets again, and to be honest I was too, but I don't think they wanted any part of this. They already have a zoo there. The Saints would've been damn interesting, but I bet Goodell didn't want them to have any part of that. Bear would've been awesome with Marshall there now, and Forte all pissed off. I really would like to see the Eagles too, there are so many damn personalities on that team that they would've been interest.

Well, Atlanta so far hasn't accepted, but it will be entertaining no matter who it is and I'm glad it's back.
