Only 7 Games For Artest

David Stern had an opportunity to really make a statement with punishing Ron Artest for a while, but he only gave him 7 games(6 of which are in the playoffs). I knew he wasn't going to get my wish and a lifelong ban, but how many times do we need to give this guy a chance? He's crazy and out of control, and has been consistently awful his whole career. I normally defend players, but this player isn't fit to wear a uniform in the NBA.

This is no different than if he just turned around and punched James Harden square in the playoffs. I don't get how David Stern didn't see that too. Just think this way if James Harden is injured during the playoffs for this, it's a much bigger loss than the Lakers losing Ron Artest.

Ron Artest Should Be Banned Forever

I normally see the best in players and defend them coming back, but there is no defense for this in the game of basketball. Ron Artest has been given chance after chance to not be a crazy person and be violent. So his vicious elbow to James Harden's head is his last straw. A lot of people are saying that he should be suspended for the 1st playoff series, but that won't do this justice. Stern needs to play the roll of Goodell here and make sure that this nonsense never happens again, and if it's not a lifetime ban, it should be indefinite.

Ron Artest is a volatile person/ player and shouldn't be in the league anymore.
