Jackson has not received a single phone call from an NBA team looking for a coach. People close to the former Bulls and Lakers coach continue to say he "has the itch," and his longtime girlfriend, Jeanie Buss, said in an L.A. radio interview Friday, "He's got his energy back (CBS Sports)."
I think we all knew that at some point Jackson would probably come back. I have to admit I am pretty surprised no one has given him a call, but I bet now that this article is out there that he will be receiving some. One would think the Knicks would be the first team to call, and probably should be. It has been longed rumors that he wanted to coach there, and there certainly isn't a lack of talent there, so it could work.
Then again, Jackson always looks for the perfect situation and the Knicks could quickly turn into a sinking ship.
